Scaffold Engineering

Our work in scaffold engineering involves the testing, analysis and assessement of scaffold components and assemblies to derive load characteristics or to check compliance with Codes of Practices from across the world. We also assess structures and components for compliance with audit requirements such as those published by the NASC and similar organisations across Europe.

Scaffold Engineering 1

Assessment of system scaffolds against the requirements of BS EN 12810 including full scale testing, derivation of safe working loads for the principle components and the production of system user guides.

Scaffold Engineering 2

Assessment by calculation of aluminium and steel scaffold beams in accordance with BS EN 1999. Physical testing to service and ultimate limit states, and to destruction, for validation of the derived safe working loads. Free weight and hydraulic loading is adopted as necessary to replicate in service loading conditions.

Scaffold Engineering 3

Component safe working load assessments of a range of components, with validation by physical testing where appropriate, all in accordance with the relevant codes and standards.
